Background
• NCD TVET & SFAP – an initiative of Hon. Powes Parkop, Governor for NCD that that started in 2009.
• Objective was to assist Port Moresby residents by subsidizing the cost of tuition for their students.
• Management & administration of program manual & paper-based were carried out from 2009-2023
• Program needed to be enhanced to include capacity building, keep-up with modern technological trend, increase engagement with the students, greater dialogue with industry and pursuing further studies to create specialists in technical fields.
• More than 19,000 students have been sponsored by NCD Governor’s TVET & SFAP over the past 15 years.
• The introduction of Online Application took place in 2023. In 2024, TVET & SFAP Applicants were processed automatically using its first Online application system.

How to apply?
Applicants must;
1. Have access to a smart device (laptop, phone or tablet).
2. Smart device must be connected to a stable internet connection.
3. Go to www.ncdtvet.com and create user account.
4. Navigate to apply tab on site and fill in application form.

How long is the application period?
The TVET & SFAP applications will be open for 2 weeks. In 2025, the period will begin on the 3rd of March and ends on the 28th March.

When will the list of successful applicants be published?
Successful applicants list will be published by the end of April 2025.
They will also be notified by email.
